Avalanche safety
- Avalanche transceiver — included

Clothing
- Functional base layer and warm mid-layer
- Weatherproof jacket and touring trousers
- Light down jacket or insulated vest

- Light gloves for the ascent and warm gloves for the descent
- Ski goggles and sunglasses
- Sun hat, sunscreen and lip protection
Food & personal items
- Thermos flask or drinking bottle, at least 1–1.5 litres
- Food for the day, such as sandwiches, energy bars, dried fruit or nuts
- Personal medication
- Mobile phone with emergency contacts
Schönwieskopf & Langtalereck Hut
Introductory day tour.
Bring the essential equipment listed above in a comfortable 25–35 litre ski-touring backpack.
- No hut equipment required
- No glacier equipment required for the Schönwieskopf
- Ski crampons only when advised for the chosen tour
- A small change of base layer is useful for the descent
Classic & demanding day tours
Alpine ski tour.
For Ferwalljoch and Essener Spitze, Königsjoch and Königskogel, Eisseekögele, Vorderer Seelenkogel, Manigenbachkogel, Zirmkogel and Granatenkogel.

These long, glaciated objectives require additional mountaineering equipment and a particularly light, disciplined pack.

Four- to six-day traverse.
