Whether this is your first day on touring skis or you are an experienced ski mountaineer, the mountains around Obergurgl and across the Ötztal offer an exceptional range of objectives.
We choose the tour together and adapt it to your technical ability, fitness and ambitions. Local knowledge, many years of guiding experience and a feel for the best snow turn a plan into the right mountain day.
Ski touring levels
The three levels below provide initial guidance. The final objective is always selected according to experience, fitness, snow, weather and avalanche conditions.
Ascent of up to 800 vertical metres and up to 3.5 hours, with little exposed terrain. Little or no kick-turn experience is required. Parallel, controlled and efficient skiing on black pistes is essential; off-piste experience is an advantage.

Ascent between 1,000 and 1,400 vertical metres and up to 5 hours. Good fitness, confident kick-turn technique and solid ski technique are required. Short exposed passages and short steep sections of up to 40 degrees may be encountered on both the ascent and descent.
Eisseekögele, Vorderer Seelenkogel, Hangerer, Manigenbachkogel, Königskogel, Essener Spitze, Wassertalkogel, Ötztaler Urkund and many more.
Ascent of up to 1,700 vertical metres and up to 7 hours. Excellent fitness, very good kick-turn technique and excellent, controlled downhill skiing are required. Experience using ski crampons in steep terrain is essential. Longer sections above 40 degrees, extended exposed passages and sections on foot may require the use of crampons.
Granatenkogel, Hinterer Seelenkogel, Liebener Spitze, Zirmkogel, Gampleskogel, Nederkogel, Hochfirst, Vorderer Brochkogel, Wildspitze and many more.
Requirements vary depending on the chosen tour. Good to excellent endurance for consecutive days, secure kick-turn and downhill technique, and experience in alpine terrain are required. More demanding traverses may include exposed passages and require the safe use of ski crampons and crampons.
