Tour & Training Advanced

An intensive 2.5-day course for experienced ski tourers and freeriders ready to make more independent decisions.

Course overview

Advanced avalanche risk management.

Tour & Training Advanced is designed for ski tourers and freeriders who are already familiar with their avalanche emergency equipment, understand simple search strategies and have initial experience away from secured pistes. You learn to select and plan a tour independently for the group and the current conditions. In the terrain, the focus shifts to recognising potential danger spots, assessing them, evaluating risk and choosing appropriate measures. Step by step, the course develops the judgement required for more independent and responsible ski touring or freeriding.
