Hinterer Seelenkogel
3,472 mA major Ötztal ski mountaineering objective: long, glaciated and uncompromisingly high alpine.

The tour
What to expect.
This major ski mountaineering tour requires experienced ski tourers, stable weather and reliably safe conditions. Throughout the ascent, the views open towards the great Ötztal summits, the Italian mountains and deep into the Pfelderer Valley.
Depending on conditions, we climb via the Rotmoosjoch and Planferner or over the steep Wasserfallferner. Solid kick-turn technique is essential on both routes. In good conditions, the descent over the Wasserfallferner is outstanding.
Using the Hohe Mut lift saves approximately 300 vertical metres and around two hours. The tour can also be made as a traverse on the approach to or return from the Langtalereck Hut.
A private full-day tour, adapted to the group and conditions.
Depending on the chosen start and route variant.
From the stated starting point to the summit.
Transceiver, shovel and probe. Additional technical equipment when required.
Good to know
The mountain decides.
